We
are a downtown congregation of 3500 members in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Greensboro is a lovely prosperous city of about 200,000 and a city with 5
colleges or universities; Greensboro College-United Methodist, Guilford
College-Quaker, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, North Carolina
Agricultural and Technological (mostly African-American), and Bennett College,
an African-American college for women. Our winters are fairly mild,
but a white Christmas is certainly possible. We are an hour and a
half from Charlotte and an hour from Raleigh. Mountains and ski
slopes are only about 2 hours away and the coast is about 3 and a half hours
away. We are also a city with cultural and ethnic diversity with
over 80 languages spoken within the city limits.
